My costume this year is a Plague Doctor, using a leather mask and an Italian clerical outfit, with a red shawl. (The priestly garb is courtesy of a vintage clothing shop - Material Things, complete with wide brimmed flat hat.)

The movie theme this year is Americana - a trifle thin, there appears to be less rural superstition movies than I expected.

Yeah, the costume doesn't exactly go with the theme. But I have had the parts for a while, and there is hardly ever a good plague around when you need one.

And it doesn't fit, at all, but I kind of want to show I Sell the Dead as well. A bad, bad movie that I enjoyed a great deal.

The Auld Grump

Playing Left for dead on my new xbox in the basement with some choice pieces of candy while someone else, anyone else, answers the door.

Some combination of:

Answering the Door and handing out candy...

And

Walking around with 3-7 kids (depending on what neighbors join our kids) and watching them get candy while I make small talk with a bunch of my neighbors.

Then going home and figuring out how to get rid of that major excess of candy that my Kids don't need to eat.

Sometimes being a parent just takes all the fun out of holidays.

We're going to a friends house to hang out. The kids will go trick or treating.

The only interesting thing is that I loaded new sounds into my door bell. Vincent Price laughing creepily for the back door. *gong* "You rang?" from the Adams family for the front one.

Working my straight job as usual. Fifth year in a row...yup, I'm bitter.

Ah well....I have lost the Halloween spirit anyways...

Christmas can bite my bum.

It's my 20th... I have no clue what to do. I'm gonna get a tattoo partially in celebration, but the artists I'm looking at are scheduled out for months... I'll probably end up sitting at home alone like I usually do.

I think my son is doing his first masked sugar-fueled extortion run this year - home-made Bob the Builder (I actually had a hard hat sitting around; go figure). I'll probably be dressed as a victim of Morpheus. *YAWN* see I'm already in character.

Throwing a small 15-20 people costume party with beer pong in the new place.

Supposed to be helping with a haunted hay ride, but other than watching the new Walking Dead pilot on AMC, not really doing anything. Course, I've got Friday and Monday off, usually do that every Halloween, just don't have the extra money to do much else this year.

It's not a big thing here, but we are having a big party with 7 bands dressing up as a classic band for the night and doing a cover set. We are doing Misfits! I've just gotta suss a costume to wear before our set now, always tough as I need a bespectacled idea(blind as hell without em)

I just heard about that Walking Dead pilot on AMC yesterday. I've have to remember to watch it.
