So I'm playing WoW. Yeahhhhh....I know. But this is the biggest PC game ever and I have got to check it out, it's time. I chose it because I know people in RL whom I play with. If they played something else, I'd play that. But WoW it is. This is my very first MMO experience. I generally dislike PC RPGs...hated KOTOR but loved Fallout 3. What's it like? More fun than I thought. The graphics are right out of 2001...but the art direction is superb and the use of colour commendable. I have had fun interactions with other PCs and a few good laughs. My first time in Ironforge was amazing. We came in the big door and into the common area and it was filled with HUNDREDS of avatars, all glowing and flashing, running around. Noblegarden was fun. Cant wait for the rest of the holidays. Our server is Asjol Nerub. I have a 29th level undead warrior [Mutanis] and a 21st level Gnome [Steampunky] , they are my first ever characters. We are not in a guild or anything, just swords for hire. I still miss my pen and paper RPGs and would love to play or {sigh} DM. As I was on last night I thought to myself I could NOT have IMAGINED WoW sitting at my kitchen table making dungeon maps on graph paper in 1980. |

So long as this does not delay Titan, I guess it's OK |

1980... Ummm... RPGs were new then. Like D&D. I was a preteen, hack and slashing my way through modules. Damseles be damned (might give you girl germs back then). |

Yah...my first game was in 1979. The olnly AD and D book out was the monster manual. I have one of the very first DMGs, they only sold them at one store in Toronto, Mr Gamesways Ark {sic}. I had to give SIXTEEN DOLLARS to my comic dealer buddy and HOPE he could get one, they generally sold out in minutes once stocked. Few minis! NO modules! Improvised rules as we only had the PHB!! And fun, fun, fun.... |

Yeah, I can see how many people get addicted to it. But I mostly play it with people in RL. thats way more fun than killing 600 baby dragons by yourself. |
