I then started thinking along the lines of Street Football played near the wharfs of Himmelveil, using laborjacks.

I should think that using the 1.5 grid would make running a game of Grind in the streets easy. Instead of trying for symmetrical terrain, have the teams swap sides after each goal. Maybe add rules and/or penalties for destructible obstructions. (A pile of crates can stop the Ball, but is destroyed in the process, things marked Danger Explosive become self explanatory, etc.. )

I should think that this might make for cracking good fun, what?

Another option is to do what many professional sports do, and have the players switch sides each half, along the lines of Football and American Football ( ).
