Hey everyone! As I'm toying around with the idea of playing a Weird War II game using the Savage Worlds rules, I was thinking that for aerial combat, some small miniatures for the planes might be nice. Naturally, paper would be interesting because of the cost- and you-don't-have-to-paint-it-factors. They don't have to be super-detailed or whatever, just recognisable, cheap and: They should have a wingspan of about 4-6 inches. Counters would also be an option if they're pretty. Now, most important: Please do NOT post links to manufacturers in this thread as long as we don't have a go for that from one of the WWG staff. I'd ask you to please send me private messages with that. Thanks in advance, TerrorTigr |

Metal miniatures can still be a possibility. I use 1/600 scale for my Air Combat games. They are detailed enough that you can easily tell which aircraft they are, and this scale is very cheap to buy. I've tried making small aircraft from paper models and have found that they are too fiddly to assemble. Some pics from my games can be found: http://wolfgameshop.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=35 If you do decide to go with small paper aircraft, I would love to see some pics and comments on the building of them ![]() |
