...pfew. Wow there were a lot. There are a lot of different sets represented... I guess you can build a lot of the encounters with varying sets. You really get to choose.

Thank you! Yes, embarrassingly, I broke the cardinal rule of user forums - starting a thread before I searched. I read a couple of those, but not all, and quite a few didn't mention which specific set they used.

I'm trying to figure out what "kits" and "kit bashing" are, but I'm sure that will come with more reading.

Edited to add: Waaaah!! Oh my gosh I'm so overwhelmed. I don't even know where to start. These things look like they take weeks to finish. Holy cow.

[EDIT] Forgot to mention, I'm using Minichunk for the dungeon itself. My wife and I spent hours putting together the velcro masterboard and attaching velcro to the bottoms of the minichunk tiles, but it's been worth it. Of course, now I want to move on to the TLX stuff. . .

I also second Ravebomb's suggestion. I bought the printed version first, then found the pdf online, and just printed out the changes from the pdf and taped them over the printed version. My party is getting close to the finale, and it looks much more fun in the pdf than it was in the printed version. Keep on the Shadowfell is my first time DM-ing too, and it's worked out very well.

For the finale, I'm planning on building a somewhat large cathedrae noctis build. You can find it .
I'm planning on taking the two raised sides (the altar where Kalarel is and the area with statues where the Shallowgrave Wight starts) up to the second floor, maybe with some stiars closer to the entrance leading up to where the shallowgrave wight is, and stairs down from Kalarel's side that are closer to the portal, which will be in the rounded alcove area. That way the heroes can go up the stairs, fight the wight, cross over to Kalarel's side, then chase him down the stairs to the mouth of the portal, where he'll make his last stand.
I won't get to start it until after Christmas, but I'll try to remember to post pictures when I do. Incidentally, does anyone have any ideas for portraying the portal within the alcove?
