I wouldn't necessarily knock Logitech for their speakers. I've had some Logitech 5.1 speakers (z-680, 500 Watts, THX Certified ) for almost 7 years now and they're still running strong. They were about $300 when I got them though, so I can't speak for their cheaper speakers. Look at sites like http://reviews.cnet.com/4566-3179_7-0.h ... umnArea1.0 and find the best stuff for what you can spend. Also check out NewEgg.com both for prices and for user reviews. |

Logitech speakers are some of the most recommended. I personally have creative due to getting them as a gift, but would have probably purchased Logitech. |

That does look like them... I'll have to install the card first, I am loather to make any major hardware changes while I have a WWG project on the go though. Maybe if I'm feeling adventurous... |

People's sound preferences can be very personal: some people want better and better sound quality; others just love to hear their favorite songs and don't really care what they're played on; some like a powerful base; others rich trebles; some like powerful special effects in their games and movies; others want to know where that gunfire came from. The best thing to do is listen to some speakers side by side (using a song, movie or game that you play a lot) and decide which you like best. Failing that, check reviews to see if the speakers are likely to be a good fit with your listening preferences ("great for movies but not so good for music" will suck if music is your priority; just "great base but poor separation" could be good for movies but not so great if you want that killer edge in FPSs). |

Dang it, I installed the card but cannot get any sound out of it, onboard is till working. Installed the Windows drivers but they do not seem to work.... Seems the card itself is from 2005 or so, kinda old, I may hold off on the speakers until I can get a more recent one... |
