My first reaction and still the prime one is to flog it. I mean am I really going to base it all, paint it and then game with it....then I handled it (whilst taking stock). I should never have done that. I feel I need to go and read either NetEpic or Future War Commander and see if the love is still there. I guess it would help if I had some nice CityFight style ruins to work with that I could scale down into Epic (6mm).

So what should I do? Sell it or place it back into the boxes and see if I actually get round to it. There is also the fact that there is so much more out there for 6mm now. I am also looking at Fire Storm from Spartan Games (yes I know we have Wormhole but one can never have too many Space ship games) - so I might need to liquefy trapped cash.

I've started taking a hard look at 25 years of miniature collecting, and am considering some massive ebaying as well.

I can barely keep up with the campaign I run, I'm not suddenly going to find time to paint my ogre army. Or my Menoth army. Or my Dwarf army. Etc.

Barring a lottery win, of course, but if that happens, I can rebuy it all .

Damn, man! Thats a TON of stuff.

There is Titan Legion stuff too - mainly the Orks but there are tanks of SM that I haven't gone through yet. Plus a the SM figures (the little men) and Eldar.

It is a shame that this game got dropped like a hot potato as it really give the true heft of a 40K conflict.. Not like WH40K

Nope - the Man O'War stuff is gone in trade for Uncharted Seas Mega Deal, sorry to say. I do feel that I have some more ships somewhere else but cannot find them - if I do they still are going to the same person.

As for the Epic - I really think I want to part with it. Just looking at it gives me the itch to try another shot with it but I know it will just get shelved once more. This stuff is gold - no point stopping someone else.

How am I going to sell it? Well you guys have first crack when I get a firmer baseline for price points. If no one here then there is Tactical Command forum who's premise is this grade of wargaming.

Over at a friends house a few weeks ago; we down in his basement and there is just stuff everywhere. Talking about kids, wives, life and he asked "you and your wife seem to 'have it together' and are organized... how do you do it?". I kinda laughed and said we put up a good front =) Seriously though I told him that a huge part of it was simply selling or throwing away decades of crap we never used, don't need, and were simply hoarding for no good reason other than we didn't WANT to get rid of it and we didn't really HAVE to.

Time to move on with life... just get rid of that stuff, and any other stuff like it. I'm not saying to transform into somebody you're not or that you're now going to be this person who doesn't hoard / collect / keep anything. You'll have new space for your current habbits.. er hobbies... and heck you'll have a few bucks in your pocket for your current hobbies! Plus you'll earn bonus points with your wife for 'finally getting rid of that old crap'

The money I've just spent recently on a robo cutter, a printer, and more all came from selling off stuff just like what you found... my old M:TG cards, a nitro RC truck, and Honda ATC 3-wheeler. I've also recycled a few truck loads of computer parts and thrown away countless boxes of useless crap I was keeping for no good reason. The house is cleaner and my life feels so much more organized just by the simple fact of having less crap!
