Two months ago (I think it was 2 months ago?) my daughter got really sick. So they sent the doctor to our house. The reasoning is they don't want people to spread it around. I think this winter will be very interesting. And my fellow Americans say the NHS is bent

As Mike said to me this morning: "Apparently, luckily, most of us only have Hamthrax. Which is not the same strain as the H1Nerd1 strain from DragonCon. Ours is less dangerous, but still pretty debilitating. 2/3s reporting in had the Green Apple Splatters, which has put Scott Kurtz out of action." He was only telling everyone on the site what the CDC told him and Khoo - if you appear to have a severe case of flu, see the doctor. The CDC is trying to track EVERYONE who got sick at PAX through their health care professional, which from the sound of it, the doctors aren't necessarily excited by the CDC's action. Also, if you knew PA's manager, you'd understand that this guy panics about every little gosh darn thing to the nth degree. I personally don't like him (and I'm told he doesn't like me because I interfered with the merticulously set plan that he made for Mike and Jerry for PAX08 by taking Mike and Wil Wheaton out for dinner on Saturday night). |

Most of the Commonwealth Countries do rock as far as a National Health styled system - here it's called MediCare. I would have had to have sold my organs if we didn't have this system in place with my mum's ongoing cancer and my wife's fun. We have had a minor flu season but Spring is coming and with it major changes in weather/pollen = flu time. Lord Abaddon of Wormwood |
