I think Delta hit it on the head for me: Regardless of what Ted Kennedy did (both good and bad), he marks the end of an era of a family that tried to do a lot of good for the middle class in America. Now that Ted's gone, the rest really just fade into serving communities in smaller ways. With that being said - The death of Micheal Jackson put a nail in the coffin for the good ol' 80's. My youth is being corrupted by Hollywood (Red Dawn and Breakfast Club remakes) and the present day pop industry (doing bad remakes of 80's songs). |
