Not sure how many people are interested in this "Planetary Empires allows you to create a complete Warhammer 40,000 planetary landscape that can be made and remade any number of times, and provides a way of playing campaigns and map-moderated games of various kinds. Designed to help you run evocative, narrative-driven campaigns, Planetary Empires gives you the chance to inject some character into your games of Warhammer 40,000. This box set contains one Planetary Empires campaign set, including: 48 plastic snap-together hexagonal map tiles and a full rules booklet written by Rick Priestley and Jervis Johnson. Also included are: 12 Shield Generators, 12 Manufactorums, 12 Power Stations, 12 Command Bastions, and 96 Banner markers. Note: This set is completely compatible with the Mighty Empire Campaign set." I'm getting pretty excited about it. New ways to play and to make it more cinematic and story like. Now I'm planning all sorts of terrain for the different battle types. Cities of Death - I will have to kitbash Mayhem for this Industrial areas - PCON all the way Fields and Forests - Hinterlands Deserts? - I'm sure I could kitbash something from Skull Cove and Atlantis Chaos Worlds - Hellworks Planet Strike - We are lacking on good Sci-Fi Military defences!!! I have materials for a 8'x4' table coming this week!! I'm hoping to prove to most of the 40k players out there that paper can be just as good as other terrain. Plus do a search on 40k terrain. I think most people would be better off using WWG paper models ![]() ![]() |

Awesome! I've been wondering what the Planetstrike campaign tiles would look like! I'm actually currently painting up a box's worth of the Fantasy campaign tiles for work, and it's quite fun! I'm sure my co-workers and customers will be excited to see this when it hits stateside. |
