So I guess this is off-topic, although it happened while I was making a train bridge.... Anyone ever hold their straight edge just a little too close to the edge when cutting or scoring? Well, yeah...all I can say is good thing I am left- handed because my right index finger is going to be useless for a bit. Also good thing I was just scoring because if I was cutting i might have actually lost part of the finger tip. This incident just resulted in an avulsion about 1/2 in in diameter (on the tip of the finger). At least it stopped bleeding! ![]() So the moral of the story, folks, is ALWAYS WATCH YOUR FINGER PLACEMENT, especially when setting up long straight cuts that seem like a breeze. Sheesh! |

Mars Station bit me but good, sliced the heck out of my left index finger, all I thought about was "Oh, no, my BF2 tournament is in two weeks!" |

While developing the Ruined Undercrypt of Kelmarane I took a nice big chunk off my left index finger. It grew back ![]() |

Hinterlands got me pretty good. Was up late and knife jumped the ruler...wasn't too deep, but bled forever. |

i think we all bleed for the art at one point or another. the most ironical mishap i had was not even while cutting but happened while i was removing the "safety" cap ![]() |

I've never cut anything off. But I gave myself a nick that bleed pretty hard for 45 minutes or so even while I held it over my head. |

I've made some pretty deep cuts in my left index finger cutting cardstock. But I think the best was when I was drilling out a pinhole and wound up drilling trough my finger too. It was lots of fun digging the metal slivers out of the hole, let me tell you! |

The only thing I ever did was poke myself good and hard with a blade tip. Fortunately it wasn't a deep puncture, since you can get badly infected with those. On the bright side, if you chop off your finger tip, it's pretty much the only area of the body that can actually regenerate. |
