| Post subject: | War of the Ring |
FINALLY got to play War of the Ring after months of planning. Its a VERY solid game. I got beat but I still enjoyed playing. My biggest mistake was splitting my Goblins into two small units instead of one large one and sending my Wargs on a flanking mission that took so long that the unit they were supposed to help was long dead by the time they got near the enemy. Played against an ENTIRELY mounted Rohan army. Also got shafted with a lucky second turn kill of one of my Trolls. Of course, the board was mostly open fields which definitely helped the massed cavalry of Rohan. |
