Thanks Zen, I also found which might be the way to go. This site seems to have a reasonable range to look at. Yes I am wanting Wireless that I will have hooked into the mains. Since posting I have found a number of useful bits and bobs and like you said it seems that the home computer's router seems to be more than enough. I just didn't want double handling with having to set up two wireless systems up if I could avoid it. Will see where I get too before having to bug you via phone, but thank you very much for the offer. Lord Abaddon of Wormwood |

Looks promising, but it isn't weather proof, so it may depend on exactly where it is going - in a sheltered porch should be fine, on an exposed wall wouldn't be. Also, it powers off a 5V DC power adapter, so you will need a power socket handy - running the power for this might end up being the biggest hassle. It looks like getting these things to work through firewalls, etc. can be a problem if you aren't familiar with tat sort of thing. If you are confident, or know someone who is, then you should be away. (Not sure how much I'll be able to help with that from here.) |
