when I search on google the whole first page of results are things Denny would like to come up. The store, and off site stores, mentions in a couple gaming articles, some youtubestuff, and the fanzine. |

Oh it wasn't the search results, but the recommended searches if you have it turned on. |

And now WotC is allowing a whopping 24 hours for folks to make a final download of PDFs that they have already paid for. Anyone want to bet that the DTRPG server doesn't get so overwhelmed that there will still be folks who don't get to make their legal downloads? I swan, if Leeds had a splinter in his finger he would cut off his hand. The Auld Grump |

So is there any way WotC could have handled this whole debacle any worse? Stipulating that getting out of the PDF business makes good business sense (which I don't), why the heck would they do it in such an abrupt, customer-hostile way? In this economy nobody is big or successful enough to piss off customers and potential customers for no good reason. Would it really have hurt to give 30 days notice? Even a week would have been a more positive PR move. Arrogant and tone deaf do not strike me as useful ingredients in a successful business plan. -Curry |

I think that this combined with the 4e will finally kill off D&D, or least make it unpopular for a few years. It reminds me of 2nd edition AD&D when they decided only they will be allowed to make products for AD&D and D&D, and then made alot of stuff that rehashed old stuff that alot of people already had. |
