My Diana never ceases to amaze me. This afternoon, when we were setting up to play the third game of our Tatooine Campaign fro Star Wars Minis, she looks over at me and says "May I please see your cards so I know what the Battle Droids have for Defense and stuff?" She is having a pretty steep learning curve, if she already figured out that knowing what your opponent has is a good thing! Related: since this game completed the Tatooine Campaign, I asked if she wanted me to include Padme Amidala in the next Campaign. She said she wanted Princess Leia instead, and could we please do Rebellion vs. Empire instead of Republic vs. Separatists. Little does she know I already wrote two more Republic-Separatist mini-campaigns... back to the drawing board, I guess. Unrelated: she got her monthly progress report, and got staright A's. Go Diana! Maria was more interested in watching than playing, and doesn't get monthly progress reports. But she is also sharper than a knife when it comes to figuring things out. Her first Star Wars game, she saw Diana's less-than-aggressive playstyle and decided to come out shooting... |

In these days ... it is wonderful to see to a family sharing a hobby jointly. I hope that you take fun much in the future and that your daughters continue being surprised you so pleasingly. |

Great story, Gazelle. I hope to one day have kids that I can bring over to the dark side. |

I love hearing when families do things together that's the best way to grow great kids (I've been working with kids and families for over 20 years) My hat is off to you Gazelle. My son just turned 10 and he wanted some space marines so we bought the Assault on Black Reach set. We have a great time painting them and we can't wait to get First Light built for some "Space Hulk" type action ![]() |

...and today the kids had no school, so we rolled up some fairy characters for Tunnels and Trolls. RPGing will commence this evening ![]() |

That's excellent, Gazelle. T&T is a lot of fun. I should try to find my old rulebook. Do you use your WorldWorks terrain in your T&T games? Luckyjoe |

At this point making terrain for our various HeroClix, Star Wars Minis, and D&D Minis games has become a full-time job, leaving no opportunity for T&T scenery. I might be able to use some of the D&D stuff for it, but with both of them playing 6" tall fairies finding "in scale" figures might be difficult... |
