I also suspect (though with no real proof) that this was a result of both Crafty and Fat Dragon being at Gen Con - Cons are as much for industry schmoozing as anything else. (Origins more than Gen Con, but both get their share.) The Auld Grump |

Honestly? It was the schmoozing at GenCon last year that put me off Flying Frogs' Last Night On Earth for so long. |

I glanced at their free stuff and the inn parts look like the geometry was inspired from WWG products. The quality is bad though, I prefer the work that Denny and staff put into WWG products. I do what I can with people I know to try to ... inspire ... them to look at your site. Right now, a few game companies are preparing for the economic slump they know is coming in the tabletop world. At some point, when it recovers some, I think I may be able to convince a friend of mine in a game company to approach WWG. No promises, but I am slowly working on a few people, and they do like what they see. |

I totally understand that. I was involved in the fallout of several games that never made it to market. Not that I did anything to make the game fail, just that I was there when the game failed, and it was not a pretty sight to watch everyone blame everything and anything for the failure. In fact, there was this conquest game being created by FFG that was completed - art and all - and only had to go to the printer and the plug was yanked with 14 hours to go. I've also expressed a sense of ... urgency ... as in, "If you don't make up your mind, they go and make the game on their own." lolz |
