Yes, I want one.

I was reading John K's blog and found a posting about what certain generations of Canadians grew up with, and I found a Youtube of a show I have not seen since it was last broadcast in 1970. In my case I would have seen it on WKBW-TV (Channel 7} in Buffalo, New York. It was popular with Canadians because of its strong signal, it was right across the border. The news was more lurid and they also had Science Fiction Theatre on Sunday afternons which was pretty much my education. But I digress.

Ladies and Gents, DoDo, the kid from Outer Space. I honestly thought I was the ONLY one who remembered this!

Yeah, the Space Giants, Albator, Battle of the Planets and G-force were all late 70's, some of them ran into the early 80's as well.

I learned to like the anime style from these, now I can't stand it! Full circle I guess.

Funny about Range Ryder, it was on CBC at a time when I watched the most TV of my life, never even heard of it. Mike Myers???? Poor Mike.

Of course Star Trek: TOS was a staple. For years I ran from school to watch it start at 4pm, to this day I am still seeing episodes where I have missed the first nine minutes or so....as fast as I could run! This was at a time when SciFi was deeply unfashionable.

Sorry I'm ranting again.

Its more than that. I'd swear some of the sound effects and explosions are reused in RD. Perhaps they're done by the same company.
