Yeah, the whole industry seems to be on a down-swing...except for Games Workshop. ![]() |

I think its all part of the downturn in the economy. The only things that are recession proof are alcohol, and porn. This is probably why Privateer Press has just release the Troll Kilt Lifters and Gudrun The Wanderer (aka the drunk). Is that a Goblin I see under his kilt? |

Here, let me fix that: "Is that a Goblin I see under your kilt or are you just happy to see me?" |

This is why I am slowly collecting all the armies for this . I think it is very clever. Lord Abaddon of Wormwood |

GW is a BAD way to spend money unless you are buying figures for their own sake. Getting hooked on GW games like WFB or W40K is a good way to cry over lots of spent money. I should know - I worked for GW-US back in the '90s for a decent while. Our tactics in getting new players were about the same as drug dealers use in getting new addicts started. The Brits were even worse in their tactics. I remember Robin Dew's chant "Tanks are sex!" when they were restarting Epic to get GW staff excited about the game. Some of the antics associated with the start of Gorka-Morka were even worse!! Granted Blood Bowl, Talisman and Warhammer Quest were good games and Necromunda was all right, but there is only crying and great sorrow associated with the rest! |
