The Battle of Butphouk-7, Part 1
OK, so BJ and I squared off for a 600-point game between his Fireguts and my Shard. It was an incredibly lopsided game and I was quite pleased by the end that I had taken out two of his models. The Shard were eliminated entirely. This isn't so much a battle report as it is a collection of pictures documenting the demise of my Shard. Lessons learned: Firguts have Scalding Steam. Melee forces don't do so well against them. I had exactly ONE ranged weapon in my entire force. I will correct this next time around. I was disappointed that my Jagged AMP suit was eliminated before it was able to attack an enemy
The highlight of the game was that one of his Onehorns seemed to kill everything it spat at: the AMP suit, some other Jagged, an Ambient, and even took out my Prime. One tough little Onehorn!
After the game, BJ used some points to enhance his named Chieftain and Bull, and name the Onehorn that kept shooting my stuff. I chose to conserve my points for some future game where I have models that live.
