Post subject: | Pirate Mini Recommendations Wanted |
Hi all I am considering building up a collection of metal pirate minis to go with the wonderful townsfolk minis that Bruenor painted for me last year. Can anyone recommend any good pirate mini ranges to look at ? Frank |

And to bring up a line that I first heard of on these very boards - . By the way, Warhammer Historicals just came out with a Pirate game, based loosely on Mordheim. ![]() The Auld Grump |

I like the Black Scorpion minis those are great but doesn't it seem that the red coat's rifles are short? |

Warmachine has some great pirate mini's. There is also a few fantasy steampunk minis for the boats... Don't forget non-human crews. I've been drawn into Warmachine largely because the quality of the mini's is so good. I mean, you have to look really hard to find flash to trim... They paint up real easy. |

Hmmm, urge to build new Maiden rising.... Black Scorpion Miniatures.... The Auld Grump, though trying to do a 20 gun vessel might get a wee bit expensive.... |

http://www.frothersunite.com/files/wk/s ... irates.htm A general roundup of pirate figures. Reapers box sets, I think, are full of fantasy races, The Pirates of the Dragonspine Sea 2 set features a halfling, half-orc, dwarf, and Cap'n Sophie the Succubus. My pirates are mostly Reaper and Eureka, who have a good mix of plain, sexy lady, Chinese, Turkish, zombie and skeleton pirates, and accessories. I tried to order something from Black Scorpion once and instead of a checkout I got this weird error I can't remember because I've never seen it before or since. Hasslefree pirates are ok, and Freebooter have some but I haven't seen them and I have only ever ordered from them once, Herr Klockes creations are awfully expensive. Grump, might I suggest Minimi Miniatures? http://minimi.co.uk/pirates/ They have some of the cheaper solutions we've found regarding cannon. |

Wow, those are decent prices! How big are they? 'Cause I think that those may be just what the doctor ordered. The Auld Grump |
