It was supposed to be a limited edition thing, for the first run of the Alliance and Empire expansion, but the problem is (IMO) that the first run was huge. Since the quality of the miniatures dropped drastically in this release, the minis didn't sell as well, so they are probably still trying to clear through the first batch. I have a few packs of The Force Unleashed, and they are all back to the good old round bases. I am pretty certain that the upcoming Legacy of the Force will also be round bases. The quality is not as good as it used to be, but they are still cool figures, and well worth it if you get the ones you want. Hope that helps. Arabin |

it was for the for the 30th anniversary of starwars, the cards were red instead of blue, and the bases were square, but the minis were good for comp play |
