Take a look at plastic aquarium plants. look great, but are pretty expensive, but there are also good-looking cheap ones out there. I'm just too lazy to look... ![]() |

I saw some around christmas time that were like $1.00 each. They were flocked however. Try like a hobby shop (in Canada, we have Michaels) for you know... crap that women like. |

I was at a hobby shop last week and saw some plastic/moss tree kits that looked really nice. They were around 16.00 for 20 trees. I don't recall the names but I'll go back and take a look this week. They're the only real tree option other than twisting some bailing-wire and adding foam or moss...which look really cool by the way. Just take 3 of 4 pieces of bailing wire about 6 inches long and twist em up. Leave an inch or so on the bottom for roots/stand and bend out the top third for the branches. 6 inches makes a kind of small tree but you get the picture... Theyre cheap too... |

Pine trees are easy to find in dollar stores, at least around christmas. Dinas Ffordd also has some paper trees. But on occasion I've made some temporary ones for free. I simply used small clippings from an evergreen bush hot glued to a base. Granted they will eventually turn brown, but I've had some last at least weeks, maybe months. |

Thanks again for all the replies ![]() I went through Michaels and found: Stem wire (it looks like a good palm trunk) A fake plant with a ton of little leaves that look palm like, more than I can use Sculpy for bases Bag of moss for around the base of the trees and shrubbery And some inexpensive paint for painting the bases (so I don't use up my GW paints) I already have a hot glue gun at home I'm going to try and make them this weekend will post the results. |
