Was just looking to do a bit of housekeeping on my WInXP machine and want to run a registry checker/cleaner over it. The current install is about four years old and has been running really sweetly (I stripped out a lot of the windows bloat when I first got it and it has run great ever since). But, between trialling a number of applications, some poor quality software installs (e.g. Kodak Easyshare) and the degradation of the latest microsplat XP patches, the registry must be due for a spring clean. Unfortunately, I can't find my old copy of RegCleaner and you can't get it direct from macecraft.com anymore. This means getting a copy from one of the download sites, with the attendant risk of ending up with a hacked copy, rather than the original. Does anyone know where to get a clean version of RegCleaner or equivalent? |
