Hmm, at least one of the players, more likely more, have read the book - I loaned it out to several of my players over the years.

Any opinions on the Cathedral changing in appearance following the ritual? Becoming darker, and just plain Evil in appearance, the saints in the stained glass windows changing to demonic figures, the crosses and stations of the cross being replaced with inverted pentacles, etc? My reason being that the model set is decidedly nasty in appearance.

For this to work I think that it will have to have been deconsecrated - no longer a building that belongs to the Church, the relic beneath the alter removed, etc. Going from deconsecrated to desecrated.

And the cathedral built over something that should have remained buried in holy ground.... (Unfortunately, one of my first choices - the Judas Coins, and possibly the Judas Gospel, have been overly popularized since the Millenium.)
