Heh, at least that way you get what you want. It's really harding faking enthusiasm when you get something you'd like, but you were sure it was going to be something you REALLY wanted. I think this year we are going to do things a little different... spend a little less on gifts for each other, but then have a shopping budget to go and get other bits for ourselves in the post-Christmas sales

That's a really good idea. I grew up with the idea of one main gift and a few bits and pieces... but the last few years have been ordering a FedEd truck of our own to dump it's cargo under the tree. Can't do that this year, and experiences are definitely more important in the long run. I tried travelling to England over Christmas a couple of years back and wouldn't do it again. Was fantastic to be with family there, but it's very busy and chaotic. For me, I'd rather take a trip early or postpone it until everyone else calms down

No the Cake is real. Do not believe it for a minute... You will have your cake and eat it too. And the end end game/credits/song are just great. Hell the entire game in its simplicity and engaging gameplay is fantastic. IT is really a return to what made games fun (interesting gameplay). The story is cool. And really adds to the Combine/Halflife Mythos. I hope they they expand on this... Orange Box was a good deal. I already owned HalfLife 2/Episode 1 so I am gifting them for Christmas. ~Floyd ... are you still there? ... |

Haven't gotten the Orange Box yet, but from the old Half-Life Team Fortress, I always loved playing the medic and infecting the snipers, quite often after conc jumping across the board to them, then running to get the flag.
