Hear that WWG! Seldom have I seen a skit that couldn't use WWGs stuff (some are 1/18, 1/24 and 1/12 figures, but they ought to know how to make the sets bigger, eh? The Star Wars episode would have been much better with First Light!!! And the new PD would be used, I'm serious! Send them a sample! |

She turned you on to it because it's the rage of the elementary schools. My son's friend (they are in the 5th grade) talks about it all the time and when he spent the night over here they tried to sneak down and watch it. Oh Hells NO! Kids mom got a call at midnight and got an earfull about what she allows her kids to watch and what is appropriate and what is not. Interesting that she listened. no more South Park, no more adult swim, etc and she had me help set up the TV's to block that stuff with a password only I know. Ya baby. Love TV's with Passwords. The worst is those "Girls Gone Wild" ads they show throughout any Comedy Central late night program.. Those are really tasteless and borderline obscene! (And the DVDs themselves are big dissapointments, bunch of fluzzies! (sp? never spelt fluzzie before?) |

I've noticed some pretty mainstream companies really go out on ads during adult swim (Don't watch much "normal" TV that isn't History Chennel, Fox News or South Park, so maybe they show them elsewhere?) That Zombie add for JC Penny, where the "zombie" clothes shamble after the kids, corner them in the high school, and start tearing at them, finally revealing new wardrobes is pretty funny. Also that Dew commercial with the Ferret in hockey mask and chainsaw chasing the teens through the woods. Excellent stuff, as far as adds go!

Damn, I was listing the shows I watch in context to my thoughts that I have only seen some cool commercials during Adult Swim, and wouldn'ty know if JC Penny shows their zombie clothes ad, for example, or the slasher ferret, on mainstream networks. I love South Park, and think most every thing else on TV is PC garbage, so I will continue watching the "boys" and be perfectly content that others find mainstream TV to their liking. |

Hey, I don't care who likes or dislikes South Park or anything else, so thats cool. And yes, Arabin I am an eighties fan, ladies man! I use Drakkar or Hai Karate (still have an original quart of their after shave from 1984), wear short sleeve Madras or Polo's with the collar up (always orange and/or green), topsiders or penny loafers without socks, khaki sport pants or cargo shorts, and if the weeman are real lucky, I sport the tweed James Rockford sportscoat! (maybe thats why my GF keeps trying to get me to shop for new clothes, she says I have a "cheesy 80's look"??? Why does the word "cheesy" always have to preceed "80's"? I had more "dates" in the 80's than all other decades combined, so to me its the "Cool 80's")

What amazes me about it is that when you watch the end credits it is quite often that you get celebreties playing themselves. For instance in this sketch: they've got the cast of the recent movies to recreate their roles. |
