For a second i thought you were saying Blink was bad, then i read your post again. I actually thought as a whole the series was very good, they have been doing a very good job of linking the episodes in a way that makes them have a connection to each other, but isn't so dependent on the plot that if you miss an episode or watch them out of order you aren't lost or miss anything. Not going to go into specifics for Spoilers, but most of the episodes even if they aren't spectacular have important elements in them that link everything to gether. I think they are doing a steller job at making a good season and story arc. Utopia was kind of the dullest episode untill you find out why it all happens... then it seems so much better... |

I used to remember it fondly from the days of Tom Baker, but wasn't that interested when it was redone. However, when I actually sat and watched it, I really enjoyed the first season. Eccleston is a fun actor and fit the part perfectly. I'm currently watching the recorded episodes from season 2, and I really can't get to grips with the new doctor. He's okay, but doesn't really hold my interest like Eccelston did. It's a shame Eccleston only stayed for one season, but I guess he was so good that he's been snapped up by others. I saw him in 28 Days Later which came out before Dr. Who, and more recently in Heroes. Looking at his profile on IMDB it looks like he's doing a couple more films now... nothing I've heard of yet though. . Arabin |

I was a huger Tom Baker fan, couldn't get into the othe doctors after watching him. His complete DVD set is horrobly expensive at Borders, I thought. ![]() |

Blink was Awesome! I did not know they had a complete Tom Baker. I bet its just selected episodes as he was the Doctor for 7 years. I'm very upset with BBC for not releasing the classics in order. Instead they are doing selected episodes. There are a TON of classics that are great like "War Games" season 6, seventh Episode with Patrick Troughton. His grandson (Sam Troughton) is playing Much in the new series. Jamie from the Troughton years was one of the best companions. Well Sarah Jane is the best companion (who now has the ), but Jamie comes in second followed by the poor Harry Sullivan who was cast because they where going to go with an Older Doctor before Tom Baker was cast and he was suppose to do all the heavy work. They should have kept Harry Tom Baker was the best Doctor followed by Tennant I better stop. I could go on for pages about Doctor Who. Not bad for a Yank. |

It was the 7 year set, I'm almost positive. Makes the Star Trek TOS price look like bargain bin. |

Season 4 will have Tennant. Personally, I like the dark edge that Tennant brings to the Doctor. That whole "I'll give you one chance but if you screw it up you are gone". It sure ain't the Doctor of the 80's. That said, this past season really seemed to play down his 'fun' aspect. If the rumours are true though, season 5 may see a new Doctor. |

Granted, Eccleston was, shall I say, Fantastic? And I do wish that he had done at least one more series, but.... I think that the chemistry between Piper and Tennant was far superior to the chemistry between Piper and Eccelston. |

I thought season 3 was really good. Especially the last couple of episodes. Won't say any more as it'll spoil the surprise for those that haven't seen it yet. Mr Blackhammer |

Well they had better get a Doctor that wants to play the part for as long as Tom Baker (4th Doctor). Or rewrite the Time Lords. Several times they have said that a Time Lord only has 13 regenerations. Of course speaking as a complete geek here, The Doctor said in "Utopia" (crikey I am a geek) when explaining to Jack why he (Jack) is immortal. Rose (Billie Piper, no relation ![]() Hmmmm |

I think that overall this season has been slightly more uneven than the others. Whilst, IMHO, there haven't been any bad episodes as such there are a few that simply do not compare with others. On the other hand, when it was good it was very very good. 'The Shakespeare Code', 'Human Nature' and 'The Family Of Blood' were all superb, whilst 'Blink' must surely rate as one of the best stories in the forty three year history of Doctor Who. As an aside, I really, really want to see a WWG version of the Valient! It'd be a bit on the big side, though... |

a decent DR who rpg would be good think of all the fun you could have with all the sets on this site after all the doctor could go any where . land on a space station made from the shadowcore set or go into the past with the gothic realms set. ![]() ![]() ![]() my wife still hides from the Daleks. when they made one of the TV films in london she ran away screaming when she walked round the corner into the middle of a bunch of squaddies dressed up in WW2 gear because there were three Daleks on the other corner. ![]() |
