Cat Hotel? The first thought I had was unsavory, but I think it was "Cat House" I envisioned ![]() I think a people bed and breakfast is better, more discretionary funds to spend ![]() On the other hand, a cat hotel with a rec room....cats playing pool, cats playing poker...THAT would be cool! |

I should clarify that the coffee shop would actually be a high speed internet cafe, lol, makes a big difference in surviving as a coffee place on the island. As to the cat hotel, we have all had lots of experience with higher class cat hotels (the one my friend and mom worked at had a limo for picking up and dropping off cats), and if you want a better idea where that option came from was the location they worked. It was a very booked place and the option for a secondary location is quite possible, though for personal reasons we will not be in any way shape or form partnered with that company. And a suggestion, don't board your cats there, she fakes liking cats and it's all business to her ![]() |

LOL Oh, by the way, one of the most popular 'new' cafes here is a Boardgame Cafe where I did my last demo "Innana's Kiss". The place has a good stock of many board and card games that people play whilst having their food and drinks. They have a standard charge per hour for use of the games, but the charge is not that high and the place is always busy at weekends. Maybe this could be another option for you boyz?? |

My eyes... it burns my eyes!!! Why did you inflict such terrible web design upon us... Seriously, that cat hotel website is an need of a complete overhaul. The design would scare me away as a customer and it doesn't look like they understand their customers... at least not this potential one. Not that they are local, but you get what I mean. I love my cats, and if I couldn't get someone local to check on them while we are away (and all that other stuff, litter, food, water, etc.) then I'd probably look for a decent place rather than a standard animal shelter. The first vet we went to in Bellevue wanted to keep one of our cats overnight for observation, but they were clearly dog lovers, and did not instill any confidence in us. Then were then very dismissive when I had a go at them so we took our cat elsewhere. They are like family members ![]() Anyway, a boardgame/coffee shop sounds like a lot of fun. My local Starbucks doubles as a jazz bar on the weekends. Every Friday night they have a live jazz band playing. Very strange, since I don't want to drink coffee late at night, but it is always popular. Arabin |

B&B's are cool. If you can get a good client base, and they like it and refer others, can be very successful! BC islands are sure pretty enough to foster interest. |
