Im takin a brief step back from zombies and im kinda curious if anyone knows of any good modern wargame rules?? eg. swat teams, riot police etc. The Urban Mayhem scenery looks fantastic and im tryin to find a game to match - not too sci-fi but not too boring either. any suggestions?...... |

I'm hearing good things about Chain Reaction 2 from Two Hour Wargames. The original Chain Reaction rules are available as a free download from the Two Hour Wargames site at http://www.angelfire.com/az3/twohourwargames/free.html so you can try them out. I always thougt free is good, especially to try it out and see how you like the basic system. I spent way too much a couple of times on game rules that I have never played. Should work for Swat and stuff, and actually says it can be used for zombies - best of both worlds! Tom Oxley |

No Limits could suffice: http://www.wargamesunlimited.com/nolimits/index.html It's sci-fi but it's a generic, DIY ruleset, so it's easily redone for modern. It's also FREE. |

Oops, forgot the links: Savage Worlds Modern Ops http://www.smithandrobards.com/product_ ... ucts_id=41 Dogs of War http://www.devildogdesign.com/news.php Battlefield Evo......... yeah, see the emoticon I used above ![]() no link required LOL Dogs of War is a good game, but really is best for small skirmishes (4-10 figures per size). More than that and its hard to run well, since the game is not really designed to handle too many combatants. There was a free version available for download... not sure if its still there. Let me know if you can't find it. |

Seems like my kids went from toddlers to driving lessons. You think they get around now, wait until they ask for the car keys! My son didnt manage backing up for his driving exams, and he ended up getting through his Submarine school before getting his drivers license, so he could officially drive a multi-million dollar vessel before he could solo in the family car. ![]() |
