Has anyone seen this? I've read the book, seen the Vincent Price version as well as the Charlton Heston version and liked all of them for the story they told. I've seen this trailer and it looks pretty good to me. I just found out about this, but it's already got me looking forward to it! Skunk |

Damned if that didn't look like Omega Man. Didn't see any of the "chosen" or what ever they called themselves, but I'm sure they will show up ![]() Can't wait to see this one. CCotD' |

The BBC created a great audio of the book. I love how the BBC does their audio stories. I listened to it on BBC 7, which has a lot of Sci-fi. |

Will it have to have a rap soundtrack, though? That was very annoying (the movie itself was annoying enough) to sit through "Wild Wild West" with a rap soundtrack. Taking the assumed rap soundtrack for granted, I don't see it being as good as the Price/Heston versions. Will Smith mugging as "Will Smith", and the neccessary product placements kinda take away from the genre, I think. Maybe it will be a good movie,,,, my daughter and I just saw "Room 1408", so I'm a little put off with the clowns in Hollywood these days. |

Talking of soundtracks ruining films... I'm going to jump to Fantasy for a sec. I really enjoyed , but struggled to deal with the rock soundtrack. To me it felt completely out of play, very annoying, and very distracting. I don't care about it's historical inaccuracy, just that it stood out and got in the way of my enjoying the film. Other than that, it was a fun film. A lot of cheaply made films go for the heavy rock in battle sequences, along with constant strobe effects of gunfire in dark conditions. As I get older and more sensitive to flashing lights, I notice it in all too many films. Arabin |

LOL, I really don't care if it's considered a n00b thing or not. I'm me, and that's what I do. I don't feel a need to conform all the time. Sorry if it offends anyone. Arabin |

Hmm, so maybe I'd be better off sticking a random quote beneath... something like: "Bite me! Twice!!" (GTA series) "Yippee-ki-yay, BLEEPYBLEEPER" (Die Hard, censored version) "You have 5 seconds to comply... four... three... two... one... I am now authorized to use physical force!" (Robocop) "Speak quickly, outlander, or go away!" (Morrowind) "Police: Are you classified as human? Korben Dallas: Negative, I am a meat popsicle." (Fifth Element) Meh, too many to choose from, so I guess I'll leave it for now. Arabin |
