Well I decided to stop working for tonight, but I'm not ready to log off just yet. So some idle questions. What do you like to do when you're building? Do you do something different if your working on the computer as opposed to cutting? I like to have some sort of show on while I cut. Since I've listened to all the worldworks radio archives, I typically have on a movie or a tv show, maybe some music. But I prefer to have something with a story line in it. But working on the computer is different for me. Any story line is too distracting. Even if I don't make mistakes, it slows me way down. So I listen to music to block out distractions. But music in english is too distracting as well, so I listen to my foreign stuff. I've got a bunch of Celtic stuff but its mostly english so I rarely use it. Mostly I use anime/game soundtracks, and a couple other japanesse cds. Anyone else? |

I tend to stick some music on when I'm cutting/building tho exactly what it is depends on my mood at the time. Sometimes it's Black Sabbath sometimes it's a brass band. As for whats on when I use my computer, that really depends on where I plug it in. I've only got a little laptop so if i'm in the living room then it'll be the TV or the kitchen will be some music. My number one most listened to building inspiration: http://www.radiorivendell.com/ . Failing that I usually listen to Howard Stern on Shoutcast but that can be too distracting sometimes ![]() |
