I think I've found the games I want to use Shellendrak for and, surprise, they are NOT horror related: http://www.warmacre.com/ Hour of Glory reminds me of a WW2 era Heroquest. That can't be a bad thing. ![]() |

That does look like a WW2 heroquest. Nice find... I will have to look at this one a bit more closely... but I might have to try it out. You are right that it would be great with Shellendrak Manor ![]() Arabin |

In the image, it does look like that, but it's tile based, so you could rearrange the board into something other than a rectangle... I'd love to see an example of one of the scenarios. One reason I buy so many Mayfair games is their excellent online site where you get to watch a demo played in flash. The same type of thing sold me with Ticket to Ride from Days of Wonder. Give me a taste, and I'll get hooked... but it's hard to spend a chunk of cash on a game you haven't even tried. Arabin |

This shot of the game being played gives a clearer picture as to how to do it with Shellendrak. |

TROLL - thanks for the rundown. I figured it would be possible to do different configurations. Here is another shot of the game in 3d: So there are lots of ways to do it. I'd imagine after playing a bit of it you can get a good sense of what a fair layout would be. I'm going to buy the pdf over the weekend when I have some time to look at it. |

Those square sizes make no difference at all. As long as your minis fit that is all that matter... so 1" gridded Shellendrak is fine. Best thing to do on the BGGEEK is to read the comments. I usually skim the 8.5 - 7 and the 6 and 5.s To see what people basically like and don't like. Personally I don't think I'd like to use full 3d walls for my regular games. At conventions and special occasions, yes. But modular tiles (from Shellendrak) made like DungeonLynx ... now I am all sorts of into that. And toss in some of the Shellendrak props... and you gotta freaking cool Hour of Glory game. (just whipped this up to see how it might look... I think it could look quite nice.) ~Floyd[/img] |

I've got HOG and it's definitely a fun game. The countdown timer is a great touch. Geoff |

There has to be more games that can be purchased online and printed, does anyone else know of any? I really like the idea that I can do it that way. I simply cannot wait for Wormhole, and I already have Shellendrak, now HoG |
