I'm afraid to admit it, but i've become a geeky old git. 1: I have enough copies of 2000ad to be roughly termed a "Collection" 2: I got really excited about spending 2.50 on five 20 year old back issues. 3: I went out and bought some plastic comic bags to store the lot in. 4: I also know the rough ebay price of the 1st edition 2000ad and I know what the free gift on the front is. Shoot me now. Please... Mr Blackhammer |

LOL, welcome to the club ![]() BTW, the best thing published by Rebellion in recent years is the Case Books, collecting all the stories printed from issue 1 onwards... except of course for the infamous . Well worth the money, even with the high shipping cost across the big pond. Arabin |

Old. don't talk to me about old. I just got older this week. I find it hard just to find an RPG group. I hate being the oldest in the group. Would not be bad but normally the next oldest is ten years younger than I!! |

I've already got 1 - 5 and am looking forward to getting 6 although I'm not sure anything can really top the Appocalipse Wars. Although I've recently bought The Balad of Halo Jones and it's one of the very best things I've read in a long, long time. Mr Blackhammer |

Forget the spinner off the first issue, it's the wallet and Mach 5 body stickers you want off the next 2 issues really............... ![]() Very sadly I lost all my issues of 2000ad dating back to 1980 to 2002, in a divorce, I just couldn't fit them in where I hadto move to and my ex destroyed them, rather than wait a couple of months for me to collect them once I had sorted out space for them, I guess the bin men had a good read......... ![]() All I have left now is a 1979 annual. ![]() |

That's unfortunate Bruenor. I was living with my mum while collecting 2000AD originally and one day she got fed up with them being everywhere around the house, and made me throw the lot out. I was in my late teens, didn't think about their value, and tossed box after box of them. Again, the bin men would have had a great time. After that, I did take a break from reading 2000AD or any comics for a number of years. It wasn't until I moved to the US that I saw in a newsagents a recent copy of the Judge Dredd Megazine that they were importing. It was only a month behind... and a wave of nostalgia came over me. A ridiculous amount of money spent on ebay, and a direct subscription later, and now I have a pretty big collection (ask my wife) and I receive my copies on the street date, or before. I don't know how they do it, but they get it to me fast. I am not collecting the old weeklies anymore, and hope that Rebellion will continue to release the case books collecting all the stories together, but I am a fan of some of the graphic novels and annuals.
