Cool, thanks. I got some feedback from the ENWorld board (amidst the furor over Dragon's death) about it as well. This has gone onto my purchase list. ![]() |

It most likely comes as no surprise that C&C is not my cuppa tea - I like having a skill system. C&C's Siege system just does not cut it for me. Mind you, aside from the skill system it looks pretty good - just very old school. If it interests you then you may also want to take a look at , another old school style D20 based game. Again, not my cup of tea, but attracting many of the same people for many of the same reasons. For the summer game I will once again be dabbling with True 20, another (theoretically) rules light system, this time using just a D20 rather than a whole mess o' dice. Wounds are handled by damage saves rather than hit points. This is the system that I converted my one Savage Worlds game to. THe Auld Grump |

I love Castles & Crusades, personally, though I have had neither the chance to play nor the opportunity to run anything yet. The big draw for me is that you can add anything from any edition D&D (OD&D, 1st Ed. AD&D, 2nd Ed. AD&D, D&D 3.X & Hackmaster) with a minimum of fuss. I have almost all the Greyhawk-related modules from 1st Edition AD&D and, if I want, I can run them basically canned out of the text with but 1 conversion (Armor Class, just subtract the old AC from 20 to get the new one; ex. -2 AC <old> would be a 22 AC in the new one). The Trolls (as the fellas at Troll Lord Games are known) are a great bunch in my opinion. Unlike WotC, they listen to their fans. So, if you're on the fence, go over to the forums and give 'em a gander and see if you like. ![]() |
