Hmmm, for RPGs I start with what I want to run, in this case DF1, then buy the miniatures and colors I will need for the scenario, making changes as needed. My girlfriend would tell me to get the cello strings first - her mom is a music teacher, and she is much more tonally inclined than I. (I can sing fairly well, and play the recorder and penny whistle poorly, and am adequate on an harmonica....) The Auld Grump |

I know how you feel about wanting to buy lots of stuff and needing to prioritize! Generally with me, home improvement comes first, but if the purchase is small enough, I sneak a few of my own buys in while saving for the more expensive home improvements! Course, I don’t play a cello either, but if I needed to repair/replace a computer, and since that’s my job, that would come first. Fortunately, I work for someone else, so I don’t have to worry about replacing my computer at work, only need to worry about my home computer and so far, I’ve avoided working from home. But with the price of gas, I’m going to end up working from home 1 day a week, and riding my motorcycle into work more often. Woot! Yesterday my strings came in. 2 A's and a D. My G-string probably needs changing as well but I think I will hold off a while on changing that one. Today I went ahead and grabbed DF:1! Millrace, here I come! Happy days...happy days. |
