OK, so i got a real good look at Rackham's AT-43 sci-fi game. I will be playing it. I was wondering if anyone out there is familiar enough with the fluff/setting/universe to recommend WWG scenry to build to go with this game? (We will be ordering sometime next month and doing some scenery ahead of time would make a nice break from my city table I am working on.) |

PCON would probably be best. The base game deals with the human counterattack on the alien's turf which is, from what I can tell, very industrial. I have the base set but haven't played it yet. I did buy PCON for it, however. |

PCON is definately a perfect fit with AT-43, at least for the current round of battles. According to the background fluff, the Therians (a robotic race) invaded the human world and kicked major backside. The humans (of which there are several different governments) banded together and repelled the invaders. They have spent the past 43 years (AT = After Trauma and 43 is the number of years since the initial invasion, hence the name of the game) building up their capability to take the war back to the Therians. Operation Damocles is the "first" step. So The initial stuff we'll see involves a Therian industrial world. The double-sided fold-out poster map (it's something like 24" x 36" give or take a few) shows the ground which includes lots of metal plates and concrete, pipes, wiring conduit, etc. So PCON is perfect. No doubt if the game is successful the war will progress to other types of worlds so that other types of units can be introduced (and where other terrain would work). But for now, anything industrialized should look good. In addition to PCON I agree with those above who said that First Light sets would also fit. I think Mars Station would too. But the clear winner is PCON. Steve |
