Couple of months ago, the local Woolworths where I work was selling off some Yu Gi Oh, Tablet monsters toys cheap, like 99p cheap, and there were 3 dragons in the set. So I bought them with the intentions of using them in some games, they are snap fit together (now glued in place), and were already kinda painted, Heroscape quality if you know what I mean. So I have decided to repaint them myself and thought I'd share the idea with you all in case you ever come across any kicking about your local toystores. The last pic shows them all together, and has GW Warrior Priest in it for scale purposes. I'd also like some ideas on what colour/type Dragon each one should be, I'm thinking along the lines of the 1st pic one being a Frost Dragon...... Thanks Bruenor |

LOL! I see the last one in a tarnished bronze design, like an animated Statue. Is the 2nd one really wearing shoulder guards, or are those part of his body? |

They could be made to look really cool with a good paintjob. A bit of greenstuff round the leg joints etc would help as well. Look forward to seeing them progress and I'll certainly be keeping an eye out for the models in the store. |

Wow! For that price I would have picked up a bunch, and I have NO USE FOR DRAGONS at all. But a plastic kit of a perfectly sized dragon for 28mm gaming? YIKERS! 
Gotta agree, the pose on that final dragon looks more "statue" than living, breathing fire, death from above. But who cares! Steve |

Sweet, I'm jealous! Let's see, multi-headed dragon could get a base color for the body, which continues part way into the head, then paint each head a different color, from 3 of the 4 different elements...red=fire, light blue or white=air, dark blue=water, brown=earth, though I think I'd go with fire/air/water combination and maybe brown for the body. Kinda blend the head colors toward the body color starting about half way down the neck. The second one maybe a copper or silver dragon, can't decide for some reason it just doesn't tell me what type it is. The last one just screams gold dragon to me. Something about the shape and post is what does it. Anyway, way cool figures, wish I had gotten some at that price! Now I gotta see if I can find some! Yeah I like those suggestions Skunkape, I thought about a multi elements scheme for the 3 headed one, kinda like Tiamat. Here's any Ebay search for those interested enough to buy some, but not as cheap as they were in the Woolies sale: |

A couple of years ago Dragon Magazine had an article to create random dragons, I have used it quite a bit. You would choose a basic typr of dragon (winged, oriental, wurm, etc.) and then roll a few times on the correct charts (or do like I do and just pick em) and you would have a completely unique dragon for your game. I was helping a friend to deign a home brewed fantasy campaign for D20 and went back to it to make up all the various dragons for the world (there was a total of six greater dragons and twelve lesser dragons, plus an asortment of drakes and non-pure/true dragons) |
