I'll have a picture up in a few days of the first level... I need to do the details now that I have all the walls and floors done. Offices need things like desks and chairs, there are paintings to be put on the walls, I need one of the Shellendrak staues insode the front door, toilet and sink in the bathroom, etc. I have used components of just about every kit I have on this stuff, walls from Mayhem Armory, Mayhem Industrial, Shellendark, Pubs and Inns, and Mars Station (for the bathroom and elevator.) I have used the Mayhen Armory tiled floor for the elevator, utility room, and bathroom, and other floor sections were 'bashed from carpet sample images ("carpet sample pictures" in Yahoo! Search) The annoying thing is that my shell had warping walls, so I put foamcore strips along the top, which didn't always cut to an even 1/2" like I wanted... so all of my interior walls had to be trimmed down to 2 1/4", and the P&I walls had to be stretched to that height (but I made a mistake and made them 2.5", so I had to trim them like the rest.) So, yeah, pictures by the weekend. |

Well, I guess this is turning into my "random musings" thread, so here's my latest observation: I made the restroom in the office building 2"x2", and when i went to put in the toilet and sink, I realized that is a bit small to actaully get my fingers into while holding pieces. So I actually had to use a pair of needlenose pliers to postion the pieces, and then there was enough room for me to get my fingers in to hold them tight so the glue could dry. I am printing the pieces for the other offices right now, hopefully I can get to them tonight. |

First floor is done about four days later than I thought... Games Expo took a lot of my time, but was a success in terms of development ideas for Dark Age. It did however prevent me from doing much WWG assembly. Throw the added (but highly desirable) complication of my new girlfriend/lifepartner/etc. and my time has gone way down. I hope to have the second floor done by Easter weekend, I have family in town fr the rest of the week and that eats up my cutting time as well. Pictures in the Pictures section later today. |
