Building my Mayhem city is starting at a frightening speed. I always used to game in other wargames periods at large scales - ie a 12' x 5' table with 15mm figures and handbuilt terrain. Cardstock is a departure from the norm for me, but with the quality of the products, I can live with it. Since my friends and I are going to be running Zombie and UFO games in 28mm, a couple of questions that were raised. 1. How many buildings is reasonable for an aprox 6'x4' set up? (Serious downscaling...... to start with!) 2. How many buildings should have interiors? 3. Should buildings with interiors be a standard tile (gridless) or be bigger? (As looking at most peoples pictures of apartments they would all be single rooms!) Ross |

These reports from some games I have run recently may help to give you some ideas: http://forums.cjb.net/wolfsgameshop-about1043.html http://forums.cjb.net/wolfsgameshop-about1091.html http://forums.cjb.net/wolfsgameshop-about1101.html You shouldn't have too many building, but other bits n pieces will help to add realism and provide the players places to hide. In our games none of the buildings had interiors........ this shall be rectified later on ![]() |

My board is 42"x63" (6 tiles x 9 tiles), so not quite 6'x4'. For interiors, I'd say use floorplans. That way your interior can be whatever size you need it to be and isn't constrained by the proportions on the table. As for the number of buildings, counting each 7" square section of a larger building as one structure, I've got 14 buildings (including the gas station). |
