Hi Due to my obsession/interest (delete as appropriate) with the WotC DDM line, I have thousands of combat-oriented pre-painted plastic miniatures that serve me well for 90+ % of my rpg dm'ing time. However, I would really like to start to accumulate a set of non-combat minis that can be used in the quieter parts of my scenarios. You all know the sort of thing (barmaid, barman, village elder, town councillor, shopkeeper, village housewife, kids, harlot, town crier, drunk, manservant, maid, tramp etc, etc). Now, I know that the chances of me picking up any pre-painted figs like this are few and far between, but I am prepared to start picking up unpainted metal miniatures (and then ask someone like Bruenor how much he'd charge to paint them for me - but that's step 2). I have located the excellent Hasslefree Miniatures Village range, which seems a good place to start, but I want lots and lots more variety. Can anyone recommend any other suppliers that I can investigate ? Frank |

I use these: The 24 pack is a nice start: They run a bit on the small side but work well with the WotC prepaints which are closer to 25mm than 28mm. I mounted them on round slotta-bases and they work great. You can't beat the price at $.99 a pop and the specialty pieces are very nice indeed. Discount Hobby offers great customer service as well. I've used them more than a few times. I'm a fan of Foundry miniatures so these are an option as well: I haven't bought these but I own a lot of Foundry and they are quite good. The price may be a bit high for some people to use only as occasional scenery. |

Hasslefree do some nice ones too, and with a bit of character too. (wooops  Didn't read your post very well)
or If you want some Dwarven Townsfolk, to mix tings up a bit, Bob Olley makes some lovely Ebob, an up and coming mini producer has a couple on there too All Uk retailers too, which will save on shipping. I'd paint them at a very reasonable rate for you Frank. |

you can get the mega minis stuff in the uk from here but i'd go with the reaper and hasslefree stuff(i keep meaning to get town pack 2 from reaper, that strumpet is a great mini) but, the reaper stuff is hard to get over here, and the hasslefree range isn't the largest, just about covers the basic tavern stuff |

The reaper models are great and I think The Foundry has some good ones also. |
