Have any of you played any of the rule sets from pigames.net? Iron gauntlets seems to get good reviews. I have played coyote trails and It wasn't that bad but it was the first wild west rpg I have ever played. Also the disposable heroes was a good purchase for the 120 fantasy standees you get but they are just to small, but they make good counter. What do you think? And if you've tried any how did you like them? Is Iron Gauntlets worth a purchase? |

IG is a great system and a worthwhile addition to ones library or even ones gaming table. I have to say that it does all the things that the reviews say it does, I only had one qualm about it - the artwork. I've gotten way too picky about RPG books and feel that they all should have sexy layouts or at least use one style/artist throughout the whole product. The art in the book is good but very varied which doesn't set the tone for me. I must say that IG really hasn't see much use here mainly due to the fact that Savage Worlds does my gaming nice for Dungeon bashing, though I have to say that I do love the magic system in IG. Again It is worth the money. As for Disposable Heroes - Neat. I truly wish WWG would move their collective butts and pump out sets of Standees like DH. Yes I know you get a nice stack in the adventures but I just want Standees. In the mean time I use DH when needed. Lord Abaddon of Wormwood |
