Cant tell the size from that, but they do seem to have good chain-male pattern there. I'm hoping this works out well. I have a bunch of the Eureka stuff too, but always wanted to get some more for my Stargate by Gaslight game. I use the Portal WWG model as an offworld gate to start my games. |

When I see true 25mm I think of LotR from GW. Not so much in height but in general size - the shaft of the polearm or the pouches on a belt. I look at the whole scale rather then just the hight. Lord Abaddon of Wormwood |

All really a matter of how different figures look together to me. Some stated 25mm are big (GZG aren't), some 28mm are small, many current 28mm are bigger (SST, SW, AT-43) but look good together. But then I play alot of Sci-Fi and not everyone is really the same size anyway, sorta like real life, even. So, a few are a bit bigger, a few are a bit smaller, if I skipped everything that was 1-2mm off I would skip alot of great sculpts. For a really great figure I might even do a bit of special basing to even up the size enough so as not to worry about a few mm difference. But to have a whole army of 5'9" clones, sigh, boring... And for fantasy, whoa...I can see where your gnomes should be small and giants big, but seems that the middle ground could include a lot of variation. Terrain is easy...1/60th scale. It fits most figures and bottom line, it decorates the story. |

Fantasy minis are totally different. The fantasy world is populated by a much more diverse range of peoples. And weapons are whatever size you wanna make them. So I agree it's really not a problem mixing most fantasy figures. If they come close it's close enough to not be an issue. Sci-fi can work the same way with aliens, because who is to say that a Snark isn't 7' tall, or 5' tall? Where things tend to trip up is modern day figures (where everyone is one race: human. And also Sci-fi humans too. I prefer figs to be a little closer to some set height, or I pass on them. I guess my way of looking at it is this: why mix 25mm with 28mm with 32mm if there are plenty of good figures available in one of those? Why not stick with just one scale? Not as much heartburn seeing loads of "cool" minis you "could" get. I've been saved more than once by finding some cool minis and then discovering they are 25mm. "Whew!" says my wallet. I can pass on those and not have it eat away at me, because I opted for 28mm and that's that. It's just a personal choice. I would happily play with ANY minis somebody else bothered to purchase
