Post subject: | One Dollar PDFs Sale |
Just a quick heads up - E.N. World Publishing is running a sale to 'celebrate' the merger between RPGNow and DTRPG. Much as I dislike the merger I have to admit that some of the PDFs are quite good at the price. In particular: Steam & Steel - a D20 Steampunk supplement. I may well have been the first person to buy the PDF when it came out, and have found it very useful for my Iron Kingdoms and OGL Steampunk games. (In particular the rules for prosthetics. ![]() Elements of Magic: Mythic Earth - An alternate magic system for D&D/D20 Modern. Not perfect, but well worth a dollar. There is not enough to the book in my estimation, but what is there is pretty good. I have been attempting to modify this for Spycraft, still a lot of work to go there.... Librum Equitus Compiled - A book of some very nice prestige classes. Some are almost non-prestige classes, making better NPCs than PCs, but still good. Mechanomancy - I have not used this one, more because I do not have a good setting for it than any other reason. It looks very good, but I have little need for clockwork creations at this time. But some day.... Also on sale are (the book that I feel Frostburn should have been) for $4, and , a great book for those who want to run a D&D game in a time period other than the standard late medieval, for $4.50. Both are excellent books, and ones that I am glad to own. (And have owned for quite some time.) The list of all the publishers sharing the sale is . The Auld Grump |

Thanks, for those prices, I may indulge. Several of those items are on my wish list. Strikes me as now is the time to strike and finish those buys that I can on RPGNOW. The Traveler items would be a major score for me... Thanks again. |

Hmmm, I should probably elaborate a bit on EoM: ME - This is a feat and skill based magic system, all characters, regardless of class, can pick up some magic by choosing the appropriate Tradition feat, and the skills that accompany it. Traditions include Wicca, Animalism and (ecchhh!) Animeism. This last is one of the weak points, there are a few silly traditions that have been thrown in. The major weakness, in my opinion at the least, is that it does not go into detail on creating and balancing Traditions, nor are there enough solid (as opposed to silly) Traditions. Not bad, just incomplete. S&S on the other hand is something that I use a great deal. For a buck it cannot be beat. ![]() The Auld Grump |

Yeah, Sorcery & Steam is more about running a Steampunk game. Some nice classes and prestige classes, though Steam & Steel has more on the actual technology. I put some stuff for Steam & Steel up on the E. N. Forums, way back when, you can find it . Mostly stuff for trains. ![]() The Auld Grump *Edit* And because Sorcery & Steam and Steam & Steel would be abbreviated to S&S I have to use the full names every single time. ![]() |

And the sale is now over. I spent way too much, but got a lot of stuff for my money. Now if only I had the time to do something with it all..... I am glad that you liked the pictures of the toy engine Outlaw. I have already used it in several WARMACHINE battles and a scenario for the Iron Kingdoms (The Railyard, or 'Jack 13). You may, or may not, want to leave the batteries out of the toy - I have discovered that gamers find the urge to turn the silly thing on and have it chug across the table irresistible. ![]() The Auld Grump |

I made the run a bit back and picked up the Western Express set with the extra track, planning on using it for Iron Kingdoms. |
