Post subject: | More Free Rules Sets |
In case you get tired of replacing your rules and codexes every year or so with GW, there is an interesting set of fantasy rules out that is a free download at http://www.wargamesunlimited.com/noquarter/index.html. While there, take a look at their Siege rules, and their sci-fi rules as well. Very good stuff, well supported with periodic updates but no major "throw out your old army and buy the new one" stuff. Even army lists using multiple manufacturers minis. The link for their sci-fi rules is at the top right side of the home page where it says "No Limits" - I sorta stumbled on them when checking everything out. So, good for all the WWG products there somewhere. |

Yup Yup. The new rules for the Sci-fi genre based on the same basic rule set should be out shortly now if the forums over there are to be believed. My local game store was selling their compelte stock of Warzone figures for 50% off so I got me a number of Brotherhood figures just so I could get some miniature gaming goodnes going. here is the link to teh no-Limits Sci-fi site: |

Gads, I just printed out all the rules for NQ, Siege and No Limit. Lots of interesting stuff. I think I now have the push to finally get going and build that Castleworks set that has been sitting dormant in my computer brain. And alas, a possible "need" for all the First Light stuff as well. As far as NQ, I have always built Chaos and Orc armies for WHFB. When the one master set came out with the Bretonnians and Lizards, I built a Bret army. The wife's Empire troops vs my Brets would be a good showdown on the castle, but then my old Caos stuff can come out to play again with that Chaos Army book I also downloaded. What can I say. Slow day at work, color copier, color count way down since we arent doing a newsletter at the moment. Can we say creative usage of resources? |
