The is a week long festival out in the Nevada desert, this site will describe it best I think, you'll have to wait for the captain to give a more "I've been there" feel to a description, only learned about it myself this year thru a television special but ever since have wanted to go, but then I was big on things like the Oregon Country Fair which I went to for many years as I was growing up. |

Heh - I got to see a preview of a lot (most?) of the fire installations during The Crucible's earlier this summer. Highly recommended for anyone in the Bay Area (and it doesn't require you to shlep gallons and gallons of water into the middel of the desert  ).
Haven't made it to BM yet, but I've been wanting to go for years... |
