My D&D group plays Warhammer Quest when we don't have enough people for D&D. The problem is Warhammer Quest has serious flaws and frusterations. Jokingly I said we should make our own version to which the DM said 'Go ahead, I'll watch' I've got the time to do such things so I've been working on it and right now my question is should I use Mini-Chunk or Lair of the Dragon God for the tiles? SR. |

Depends. Mini-Chunk, if you intend to build the walls. LotDG if you are just planning on doing flat, wall-less builds. It'll go together faster and easier, but obviously won't have the 3D-ness. I wouldn't go with MiniChunk if you're not going to build the walls. LotDG is much more impressive in 2D, as it's designed with that in mind. |

I do really like the 3d of Mini-chunk over the 2.5d look I'm just concerned about having enough varity in either pack for a good sized dungeon. SR. |

I hope they tweak it a bit rather than just reprint it (which is most likely). WHQ has some kinks it needs worked out. I think they should look back at the Advanced Heroquest design document. Rules-wise its much more solid, but WHQ has the undeniable Toy Factor (tm). ![]() |

ElBrookski: I'm with you on wanting this back. Unfortunitely, I (believe) the WHQ museum site has been shut down. This makes the need for some semblance of resurrection that much more needed. Slackratchet: Yes! Keep us all informed with your insider ways ![]() Count: I agree with making some changes. Just a question, though: what was the serious differences between WHQ and Advanced HQ? I never got to play the latter, but always wanted to. -Polycarp |

to be fair when you have been playing WHQ as long as i have you iron out the bugs. i never played AHQ and have never met any one who had the game or found it any where. As far as GM capacities, well Prior prep prevents pi** poor performance. I have been running this game for years and my group seems to get on well with the rules as they are with minor tweaks and Themed mini bashes. In saying all that it has also taken years to beat it in to its current shape. As for the warrior packs, well in the great lead sale i managed to get them all but they are asking a premium in some places for them. The pit fighter was always my fave. |
