Savage Tide is the name of the next adventure path from Dungeon Magazine and the reason I found World Works Games. I'm mostly done with a Maiden of the Seas for the PC's and plan on a darker version for the bad guys and maybe even another one for the end game. Anyone else interested in this campaign? SR. |

It is actually the first Adventure Path that has interested me. Mind you, I will most likely update the tech to gunpowder. so what I end up with may differ from the normal Path... The Auld Grump |

I can't imagine that would be too tough, Stormwrack has quite a few suggestions on how to do that. I like the idea of wizards on ships casting spells though. SR. |

Yeah we might be starting this in my group come October, and if we do the Madien and Skull cove are on the list of buys (when Shadowcore comes out...) |

The maiden and skull cove were my first two purchases. I happened across WorldWorks games before and thought 'ooh neat' but never purchased anything as I wasn't running anything at the time. I decided to start the Savage Tide locally, and while looking at ideas from other GMs ran across someone posting a link to the Maiden. My next thoughts are on how to handle the numerous dungeons that will be throughout the series. I'd rather not just draw on a battle mat when I'm going to have this great ship for the sea battles. I haven't purchased any of the Dlinx sets or Pro-masterboard, but my initial thoughts were to blow up the PDF images from Dungeon to 1" grid, and somehow cut the rooms apart in puzzle-fashion and base them similar to the methods shown here to be re-assembled as needed in the adventure. I guess I wonder if I'll be wasting resources by doing this for each map when I could have a generic tileset that works well for any dungeon. Anyone used any of the sets from here for duplicating maps from Dungeon? How easy is it to take the sets here and recreate these maps? |

The madien so far has worked great for the First adventure, and will be used again in the third. I picked up skull cove but haven't used it except for some of the bits. the Dungeons are covered by another product... My suggestion would go modular so you can reuse the stuff you make for the dungeons. |

The latest installment is very different from the previous episodes. It has a small war, and uses the system that WotC outlined in Heroes of Battle - rather than fighting the war the heroes run around being heroic, which influences the outcome of the battles. I rather like it. ![]() The Auld Grump - HoB is the best official D&D supplement that I have bought in the last year or two. |
