Hokey Smokes, I almost forgot about the sale at on miniatures... at $0.60 a piece they reall aren't all that shabby. I could have sworn I mentioned it here before, but it seems like I was dreaming or something. The sale is only on until the 30th of August.

Plus there is a Rat Catcher for those of you who play Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay (complete with one D6 dead rats...)

A SWAT team and street thugs are available, the SWAT team looks decent, the thugs, maybe a biy less so. Fireman might also be a good idea given how much fire seems to be around Mayhem these days....

A bunch of others that I will be skipping, but these aren't bad for the price.

Some of the halflings are very... umm... hobbity? (They are the ones I remembered at the last minute, I want the old guy with the pipe and the lady with the rolling pin.)

For what it is worth, I have dealt with Discount Hobby before, and have never had any problems in getting my stuff.

Ordered a dwarf wizards, some female fighters, wizards, andd archers, a few halflings, some bar patrons and tenders, and some monsters. All told it came to $27 with shipping.

Some very nice medieval figurines in the King's Court line, though I did not purchase many. They were originally the Pendragon line, once upon a time.

And after saying how nice the SWAT team and firefighters were I did not purchase any. I just am not running enough modern games.

Yeah, part of the reason that I ordered halflings... small is good.

Monsters , who can tell how tall a j=harpy is supposed to be, or a swamp demon.

The Mega Mini King's Court line is in a separate niche - being true medieval for the most part means that they won't compete with more fantastic figure lines. They tempt me for Ars Magica more than anything else.

The townsfolk line does not bother me by being a tad smaller - they are the minor NPCs, bit parts, spear carriers, and walking scenery. (I once confused some players by telling them that it sounded like some of the townsfolk were murmering 'rhubarb, rhubarb, ruhbarb', while others were saying such meaningful lines as 'one two three goldfish?' and getting a reply of 'four five six goldfish!'....) Let the heroes and villains have the larger figures....

Except the rat catcher, he is obviously hero material!
