from DriveThru RPG are free this month, which all said and done it great. It's great because this pdf is a poorly done handscan with no bookmarking. On the upside Heavy Gear was a great game and most likly still is - an now I have it! The page count is eighty pages plus covers so its not too much of a burden to print. Now I'm expecting all to grab this now and not wait for the $20 to come back on (like right who the hell is going to cough up $20 bucks when a school kid could scan better - and bookmark it!). Would be cool if this would work with ShadowCore Prime (scaled appro.). Lord Abaddon of Wormwood |

How does it go... My Bad!?! About three or four months ago I was ready to get back into HG - Minis but after going through the preview of some of the books - it seems that some (but not all) are scanned and quite badly too. After my post - runnning of memory (mine not the computers) I open the file to find to my suprise that there were layers. This mean that it was pure digtial content. Sorry. Otherwise I love this gaming world. Lord Abaddon of Wormwood |

Heavy Gear is one of the mecha games that I have the least difficulties with - the smaller mechs actually make tactical sense in their battlefield role. Also one of the few 'transforming' concepts that works for me - a road mode and a combat mode. With the weapons useable in either form. This is a trait that the game shares with Gear Krieg, which is the only mecha game that I actually want to play. ![]() The Auld Grump |

Thanks for that. Just downloaded it. PDF quality looks good to me. Of course this means I'm going to have to buy some more mini's that I'll never get around to painting. Mr Blackhammer |

The Gear Krieg stuff I have seen at the local shop was all 15mm, but then, I have been looking for an excuse to get a few of those Flames of War troop packs anyway. Replace the command halftrack from the Germany mech infantry set with that mech/halftrack looking thing, add some others in place of a tank platoon. Hmmmm. I got the Tesla Turret just for VSF some time ago, but may just have to keep it for it's intended game. |
