Anybody play ? I know WWG doesn't have any Egyptian or Desert type terrain yet. But I'm curious if anyone on the board plays this. The Mini's are just oh so sweet. (We're talking {private moment} sweet!!) ![]() CCotD' |

I brought that up on the Suggestions board. Egyptian terrain with heiroglyphs, oblesks, and maybe statues would be nice. Of course, you could recolor the Mars Station blocks or whatever to be sand-colored and make pyramids, as Aleph suggested. (What I wouldn't give for a decent cardstock urn, though) I know a few people who do play Wargods, and while it looks great, from what I've observed (mind you, I haven't read the rules), it almost seems exactly like WH40k, only in the desert. There are a few differences in the fact that there are priests who work magic and it's not unusual to see an Avatar-like creature enter the fray. It's point based squads, with you having to have so many of one type of unit in battle to have others, and the like. The Anubi, the Sebeki and the Basti armies are the only three I've seen used, too, and they are bad ass when in combat. I'm not sure, but I think there are groups playing with the minis in RPGs as well, which is why they sell models and objects in certain poses. [EDIT] Although I might get one or two figures from this set, because figures like the are really, really cool looking. |

I haven't played Wargods, but I do love the minis. I'm hard pressed to decide on a favourite, though it would probably be Sebeki, then Khemru, then To-tanem. To be honest, I don't know anything about the game itself, but I'm always drooling when I see the minis. They are a little daunting to someone of my painting skill though. I doubt a croc dipped in green paint would look as good ![]() Arabin |

Thanks for the info Wukong. That does help a lot. While the game sounds interesting, it's unfortunately not for me. I'm really not interested in larger battles. I like the smaller, faster skirmish games. It's a shame, but I just don't have the room or time for the larger and longer wargames. I appreciate the info though. Arabin |

Wukong, Welcome to the boards, damn fine first post. Thanks for the info. I buy mini's like there is no tomorrow but game systems I'm leary of. (I've bought some crappy ones in the past and that's $$ I could have spent on Mini's.) Thanks again for the info. CCotD' |
